San Onofre Engagement Session

I’m so grateful to be an wedding photographer in Orange County, there are so many beautiful spots here and I feel so lucky to have this just a few minutes away! These fun beach engagement photos feature Sarah and Zak. They were the winners of the session giveaway I did for couples who were affected by Covid-19. My heart broke for them! They got engaged on a beach cliffside literally right before the world shut down in March.

BUT what’s really awesome about them is that they are still joyful. They’re so happy to be engaged and are enjoying this new season of life. Sarah and Zak are a chill, fun couple who love to bike ride to the beach and surf. So OBVIOUSLY we had to head to the beach for their engagement photo session 😉

We headed out to their favorite spot for their session right before sunset. We had a great time avoiding waves and tip toe-ing like baby mountain goats on all the rocks. I’m so happy to have met these two and I am so inspired by their positive go-with-the flow attitude while planning their wedding during times of uncertainty. Even when Zak was going to propose, it didn’t go as planned. But! He made it happen and it was beautiful.
Getting married doesn’t mean a big fancy party. It’s about making that commitment together to love each other for the rest of their lives and the start of a new season of their relationship. THAT is what makes a wedding special no matter how big or small it is.

This joy filled session captures that fun California beach vibe we all know and love. As a wedding photographer in Orange County beach sessions are so fun and feel the most “California-y” haha.
