In the heart of the enchanting Big Sur, where the winds may be cold but the love is warm, we had the pleasure of photographing the incredible journey of Tyler and Kristen. Their engagement session in Big Sur Park was not just a photoshoot; it was a fun and adventurous tale of love that unfolded against the backdrop of the rugged beauty of nature.
Their story began in college, where Tyler and Kristen’s paths crossed in the most unexpected ways.
From chance encounters in party houses to a transformative camping trip in Yosemite, their love story was marked by sparks that flew and a connection that deepened with every passing moment. It was almost like a cruel summer when Tyler missed getting Kristen’s number. Fate had other plans though, bringing them back together when Kristen visited her friends.
This engagement session wasn’t just about capturing poses; it was about freezing the essence that defines their relationship. Kristen shared that Tyler’s captivating eyes were her weakness. Tyler thinks Kristen’s hands have a very promising QVC hand modeling career. They both love traveling and discovering new places together. On their adventures, Kristen collects heart-shaped rocks, each one discovered by Tyler.
Their Big Sur engagement session wasn’t just about creating beautiful images. They said their goal was about embarking on a new, fun adventure together with us as their new friends. *cue tears *
As we delved deeper into their love story, it became evident that their relationship was built on shared moments of gardening, DIY furniture restoration, and exploring new places. Tyler’s cooking skills and Kristen’s meticulously crafted shopping lists were indispensable to each other. From mundane Monday errands to watching sports and hanging out with friends, their love story was a beautiful tapestry of shared experiences.
When it came to their engagement session, they envisioned them to feel striking and adventurous. Msot importantly, mirroring the essence of their extraordinary love all surrounded by the beauty of their favorite place, Big Sur. We had never been before and it absolutely blew us away. We had the best time with them. Our session was full of laughter as we all braved the huge gusts of wind and taming Kristen’s hair lol. Tyler and Kristen’s easygoing and natural love was such a joy to capture. As we paused for a breather in between poses, we all looked out at the beautiful views before us. In this moment we all felt like we had been friends for ages. These two are so incredibly kind and so fun to be around. It was an honor to witness and document this beautiful chapter in Tyler and Kristen’s journey. We’re so happy to know them and CANNOT wait to capture their Yosemite elopement next year.
